Foods You Should Not Eat During Exercise

Experts have warned against eating the following foods during exercise.


  • Hard spicy cheese
  • Packed juice
  • Weight loss supplements
  • Cooled fish
  • Fried nuts
  • Broccoli
  • Rice cakes
  • Sausage products
  • High-fat dairy products
  • Dried fruits
Exercise helps keep the body in shape - that's true! And to eat before an exercise is not a bad idea. What to eat during an exercise always has a big question mark. Let's look at why these foods will make your exercise ineffective or harmful regardless of your reason for doing the exercise.
  • Hard spicy cheese
It contains too much salt and too much salt narrows the blood vessels and does not allow oxygen and nutrients to be transported smoothly. Cheese is an important milk product which generally promotes healthy living, but is best to avoid it during workout.
  • Packed juice
Packed juice is a source of vitamins and simple carbohydrate. Simple carbohydrates will instantly get to the blood, irritates pancreas and stimulates insulin production during workout. During workout, only a small portions are used by the body for muscle operation while the rest are transformed into fat.

  • Weight loss supplements
The food and drug Administration have warned users about the health risks connected to supplements. Supplements like multivitamins and calcium all proved to be helpful in dieting. But research have shown that out of 169 products that were suspected to be potentially harmful, 107 had at least one chemical prohibited in sports.

  • Cooled fish
During workout, they accumulate in the organs and can cause heavy pathologies and hormone imbalance.

  • Fried nuts
Fried nuts contain trans-fats that rebuild the cells and make the cells unarmed in front of viruses and bacteria. Nuts that are not fried contain unsaturated acid that helps the body to get rid of cholesterol. The issue is with the fried nuts.

  • Broccoli
They may not be what to avoid generally but it is a restriction during exercise. Fiber that constitute part of broccoli lies in the stomach for a long time during workout, blood flows to stomach, causing heavy feeling and stomach spasm.

  • Rice cakes
Rice cares are an easy target for trainees because they have low calories. In order to produce energy, the body needs carbohydrate, and rice cakes do not have any nutrition. They do not have fiber or fat and sufficient level of vitamins or minerals.

  • Sausage products
Meat is the best source of protein which the body needs. But sausage product is not just meat - it contains saturated fat that causes accumulation of cholesterol plague in the arteries and can lead to blood condensation.

  • High fat dairy products
The saturated fat that are in high-fat dairy product accumulates under the skin and in th internal organs disrupting their functioning.

  • Dried fruits
Dried fruits have the same nutritional value as the fresh ones - according to the USDA Center for Nutrition Policy and Promotion. The issue is a lot of companies that produces these products add sulfur dioxide as a preservative and saccharine for market attractiveness. And this dense energy food product can easily be over consumed.
