My Heroes And Villains Of The Year So Far
These are real life people who have made the news for bad or good reason. People whose actions has made someone laugh or cry, die or live, feel despair or feel hopeful. There is one thing most people fail to realize or notice. They fail to realize that the force of nature causes the universe to spin. They fail to realize that this force is very positive, so full of hope and so lovely. It is this force that brings about the summer, winter and spring time and harvest time. It is this same force that makes the Sun to bring light in the day and the Moon its in the night. This force preserves the Universe for us – it brings about hotness in some places and coldness in other places…. just for our own good. From underneath the Earth to the depth of the Sea to the plain ground that we walk…..this force does something, something so unique….just for our own good. It cares. It always does. And that’s what it will ever do.
People also fail to realize that it rewards even the smallest of our positive efforts. Everyday of our lives, we are bringing something into reality via what we carry inside and this force try to help us, guide us to bring what is only good to reality, just the same way the force itself does. This force regulates the universe and everything in it.
This force causes the universe to spin and as it spins, it spins fire, it spins water, it spins light, it spins darkness, it spins good, it spins bad. But it will only concentrate to magnify that which is good so that the world can continue to be fit to live in. Connect yourself to the good that this force spins through what you carry inside, you first make yourself, then the world laugh because this force will inspire, motivate and support you. Connect yourself to the bad that this force spins through what you carry inside, you make yourself and the world cry. At the end, what you bring to reality will either elevate or crush you. Ladies and gentlemen, we can choose to be hero or villain in this life. It is all a matter of choice.
Heroes
David Sullivan Jr.
The Manchester Arena attack of last month, produced an unlikely hero named Stephen Jones, a homeless beggar. Stephen Jones helped pulled nails from arms and faces of injured children before the paramedics arrived. His selfless action had won over the city and people had come to aid by donating about £31,562 through a JustGiving page set up for him. David Sullivan Jr. – the son of Wes Ham United co-owner has volunteered to rent an apartment for six months to a 35 year old Stephen Jones. Remember Wes Ham United Football club is not in Manchester city…. Thumps up for him.
Stephen Jones
Stephen Jones, a homeless man and a former bricklayer was sleeping close to the arena center when he heard the explosion that killed 22 and injured 60 youngsters. He was shocked when he saw youngsters running out of the arena with blood on their faces. This homeless man rushed to lend a helping hand – pulling out nails from the arms and faces of these children. This single action caused Mancunians to hail him their hero. This tells us that, no matter our condition or status, we can still be useful or have what to offer to our society. It is a matter of our choice.
At a young age of 35, Stephen found himself living and begging on the streets of England -one of the most developed countries in world. You that your say own place is not good enough, know that there is no place that is good enough!
Stephen spoke to ITN few days after that event, he said : “I realized what was happening and saw children coming out, screaming and covered with blood. We were having to pull nails and bits of glasses out of their arms and faces. Just because I’m homeless, doesn’t mean I haven’t got a heart and I’m not human still.
“They needed help and I like to think someone would come and help me if I needed it.
“It’s just instinct to go and help and it was children and it was a lot of children with blood all over them and crying and screaming.
“It had to be done, you had to help them. I wouldn’t have been able to live with my life for walking away and leaving kid like that”.
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
She is a novelist to the core. Author of four novels – Purple Hibiscus, Half a Yellow Sun, The Thing Around your Neck and Americana. She talked in many forums across United States of America, like the Washington Ideas Forum at the Human Centre For Arts. She was placed Fortune’s 50th world’s greatest leader, 2017. This prize-winning Nigerian writer has won admirers, including BeyoncĂ©. But she has been most powerful in challenging her audiences to think differently and more expansively about Africa, identity, race and gender. She is a feminist icon and a fearless political and cultural critics. She tells girls to get over being liked.
Villains
Jenalle Edwards
After feeling her physique was not good enough, she decided to travel to Dominican Republic for boob job, butt job and tummy tuck. Unfortunately, she did not live to hear what people would say about her new look – she died after complications from series of plastic surgeries. What a waste of life and money! At just 25 with two kids, she still had many years ahead of her. Hmmm…this life. One of her children is just 1 year old. You can never perform beyond your natural ability or be more beautiful than your natural self, except you were born disabled.
Young people should take note. Doctors have warned people about the danger of taking plastic surgeries abroad.
“I know the cheaper cost is tempting, but consider the risk”, Dr. Susan Downey explained in a post on American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
“If any problem comes up, you may have additional cost and no legal protection. Cosmetic surgery is real surgery and requires consultation, planning and follow-up care best with a board certified surgeon”.
Taking long flights after surgery can increase a patient’s risk of developing a pulmonary embolism and blood clot. Patients are advised to wait up to seven days after operation before fly.
Busy, busy, busy. I must sleep, good night” – the last message she posted on facebook before she died. She was from Bronx, New York City.
Tokunbo Idowu aka Tboss
She is popularly known as Tboss, one of the housemates of the last edition of big brother naija. Chimamanda Adichie has sent a lot of positive messages to girls all over the world. I wonder what this supposed beautiful lady from Edo State in Nigeria has sent. Maybe the pierced picture of her breast is all she has for the world.
Dansale Magaji
This Muslim man from Katsina State in Nigeria raped his seven months step daughter, Hauwa Ibrahim. After Zeenat Muntari, the mother of the infant baby accused him of raping her daughter, Dansale was arrested by the police. And he later confused of committing the crime. He claimed he believed he would be rich once he sleep with the seven month baby. Sadly the girl died later in the hospital. Hmmm.
