2016/17 EPL Stats
The 2016/2017 English Premier League ended in May but it left behind some memories and statistics. Come let’s look back at some of these memories and statistics.
Clubs with the highest number of goals – top three

* Manchester United were number eight(54 goals) – their worst position in the Premier League era. Everton and AFC Bournemouth scored more goals than Manchester United did. Tottenham hotspur top this chart for the first time in the Premier League era.

Harry Kane proved he is the most deadly striker in the Premier League for the past three seasons – finished top goal scorer twice and second in the league for the past three seasons.

Other interesting 2016/2017 Epl Stats
Diego Costa made the most touches in the box in the 2016/2017 season but he also received 25 yellow cards in the last three seasons – more than any other Chelsea player. Eden Hazard made the most successful dribbles. Christian Benteke of Crystal Palace committed the most foul, 81 – more than any other player in the league. Philippe Coutinho of Liverpool scored three goals from free kick, more than any other player in the league.
Chelsea had the most win – 30 and the second most potent attack but Manchester United stopped this same attack from registering a single shot on target in whole cause of their game at Old Trafford. The last to have achieved this feat against Chelsea was Manchester United at Old Trafford. No team has achieved this feat against Chelsea in the Premier League era. Hull City conceded twelve penalties, ten of which converted by the opponents – this is more than any team in the league. Sixteen different players scored for Hull City in 2016/2017 season – Everton is the only team to have more players. Burnley won their first away match against Crystal Palace on 29th April, 2017, on their 18th attempts – they were the last team to win an away match. Sunderland was relegated on 29th April, 2017 from the Premier League for the 4th time – only Crystal Palace and Norwich City shared the same number. Arsene Wenger defeated Jose Mourinho for the first time in the Premier League on 7th April, 2017 and subsequently ended United unbeaten run after 25 games( 13 wins and 12 draws ). Arsenal also beat Manchester United for the First time in a successive home games since 2001. They defeated United at home in 2015/2016 and also at home in 2016/2017 season. Arsenal finished the season outside the top four for the first time in the Premier League era – it proved to be Arsene Wenger’s worst season for Arsenal football club.
